Awards

Derry Youth & Community Workshop are delighted that over the past 7 years learners have received the City and Guilds Medal for Excellence for their high standards of work in their Retail, Customer Service and Essential Skills qualifications.

Within the past two years winners of the City and Guilds Medal for Excellence have also received special prizes from the City and Guilds Livery Companies:

John Hallissey received the Lions Award presented by HRH The Princess Royal at the Guildhall in London.

Rebecca Mc Menamin received a Master Certificate Scheme from Livery Companies Skills Council and the City and Guilds London Insitiute Livery Company Prizes presented by Lord Mayor of London at Carpenter’s Hall.

I feel in the time I have been with Derry Youth and Community Workshop I have gained a lot of skills and experience. Derry Youth feels like a second family to me.

Trainee of the Month

To show recognition for trainee progress in both training and work placement, DYCW tutors continue to nominate learners to be awarded for Trainee of the Month where they receive certificate and
